On 4 December, 2022, the Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Daffodil International University (DIU) organized a workshop titled, “Workshop on Preparing the questionnaire for the Self-Assessment Process for Accreditation”, held at the HRDI Mini Conference, Daffodil Smart City.
As per invitation of IQAC, DIU, Member, Bangladesh Accreditation Council (BAC), Professor Dr. Sanjoy Kumar Adhikary has kindly come at the event to conduct the workshop as ‘Key Facilitator’. Since the SA questionnaire for the accreditation purpose differs with the previous version of the survey questionnaire, conducted under HEQEP, the workshop was really a time-demanding endeavor of IQAC, DIU. The event was chaired by the Director, IQAC, DIU, Professor Dr. A.K.M. Fazlul Haque. In his introductory remarks, Professor Dr. Haque thanked the key facilitator and all participants for attending the event and then requested kindly Professor Dr. Adhikary to commence the session.
The workshop was designed to give the overall idea of steps in the program self-assessment process (from workshop/conference/discussion on SA by IQAC to the endorsement of Self-Assessment Report), external quality assessment process as well.
Respected Dean, FHSS, Dean FSIT, Conveners, Members of Self-Assessment Committee of eight departments and Convener, DIU Accreditation Committee have joined the workshop.
The workshop provides the orientation on different aspects of SA questionnaire along with hands-on experiences to the faculty members.
The respected key facilitator, Professor Dr. Sanjoy Kumar Adhikary has given his lectures on the areas like components of SA Process, responsibilities in program self-assessment process, data collection tools and analysis, writing SA report, Standards for accreditation of academic program. The participants have actively interacted at overall sessions. Professor Dr. Sanjoy Kumar Adhikary has also administered the dummy SA exercise among the SA members. In the workshop the participants have also asked many questions to understand the process clearly from the Member, BAC, Professor Dr. Sanjoy Kumar Adhikary. Appreciating for asking those queries, Professor Adhikary has responded each query in lucid ways.
In his concluding remarks, Professor Dr. Sanjoy Kumar Adhikary accoladed DIU for its educational ecosystem and also praised the initiatives of IQAC for organizing such programme.
The program was ended by a group photo session with the key facilitator.
