Quality Assurance Committee (QAC) works for the institutional oversight of the IQAC and oversees the activities of IQAC and implementation of the quality assurance framework of the university. IQAC, DIU gets the strategic direction of critical review of the improvement plan and also strategic plan of the university. A meeting of QAC was held on 13 March, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Conference Room, Daffodi Tower-4, DIU. Professor Dr. Yousuf Mahbubul Islam, Vice Chancellor, DIU presided over the meeting as Chair of the committee.
At the outset, the Member Secretary of the committee and Additional Director of IQAC-DIU, Dr. Sk. Abdul Kader Arafin welcomed the members of the committee and extended gratitude for their presence at the meeting. Then, Professor Dr. A. K. M. Fazlul Haque, Director, IQAC-DIU, as per request of the Chair of the meeting, made a presentation to apprise the overall activities of IQAC, DIU. He pointed out the following domains in his presentation:
i. present status of Self-Assessment Committees as all SACs have started implementing the post self-assessment improvement plan.
ii. Three different phases of IQAC
iii. IQAC, DIU mentorship to all SA Departments
iv. Importance of Outcome Based Course Curriculum, Teaching Learning; Research and Extension
v. Visit of a 7-member high powered AUAP Team at IQAC, DIU during 09-12 February, 2018.
vi. International Ranking (Times Higher Education Ranking)
vii. Overall Financial Status of IQAC, DIU
After his presentation, all the members of the committee took part in the discussion, focusing the IQAC activities for further strategic directions towards the objectives of assuring quality domain at DIU. After threadbare discussions, the following issues were recommended:
1. Apprised the overall activities of IQAC, DIU
2. Implementation of Post Self-Assessment Improvement Plan of SA Departments
3. Graphical Summarization of EPR recommendations and improvement Plan to be presented before DIU management
4. Question Moderation and Post-moderation
5. Publication of Research paper
6. IEB Accreditation
7. Skill Development
8. Set Key Performance Indicator (KPI) for evalution
9. Data generation model of InQAC
10. Formulation of planning after ending of the project as IQAC becomes integral part of the university
