Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Daffodil International University organzied a workshop on "Preparedness for External Peer Review Process" on 28 August, 2017 at 12 noon at the Conference Room (6th Floor), Daffodil Tower-4 with four departments under IQAC in second phase to discuss in details regarding the entire process of External Peer Review of each SA department and necessary preparedness.
Professor Dr. Md. Fokhray Hossain, Director, IQAC, DIU conducted the workshop where Heads along with their Self-Assessment Committee Members and Coordination Officials were the participants. Among others, IQAC Officials were also present to make the Departments well aware of necessary activities during the EPR process. Director, IQAC informed the participants that the external peer review of each Department will be held during three days (office time) as per following schedule:
Department of Pharmacy: 9-11 September, 2017
Department of Real Estate: 12-14 September, 2017
Department of Electrical & Electronic Engineering: 12-14 September, 2017
Department of Textile Engineering: 25-27 September, 2017
He then, guided the concerned Departments to prepare the detail schedule for three-day EPR with the assistance of IQAC office of DIU. He also stressed the importance of maitaining discipline, cleanliness, timeliness and keeping necessary as well as relevant official documents (duly approved by concerned authority) available to the EPR Team. Regarding composition of EPR Team, he stated that there will be three External Peer Reviewers containing one foreign quality expert, one local quality expert and one local subject matter expert.
After the deliberation of Director, IQAC; the Heads and SA committee members of respective departments expressed their views and queries on the EPR process including financial issues of block fund utilization under IQAC. The IQAC officials answered all of their queries and ensured full cooperation and assistance during the three-day external peer review of each department.
