Institutional Quality Assurance Cell of Daffodil International University organized a workshop on "Program and Department Level Vision and Mission with Strategy to Accommodate OBTL” on 24 May, 2017 at its own premises. Professor Dr. Muhammad Mahboob Ali, Professor, Dhaka School of Economics was the resource person while Professor Dr. Md. Fokhray Hossain, Director, IQAC, DIU, chaired the whole session of the workshop.
The workshop was the continuation of last workshop held on 04 May, 2017 with a view to providing guidelines for formulating the Program and Department Level Vision and Mission; equip participants with the knowledge and expertise on outcome based teaching-learning including curriculum development, delivery and assessment.
After the welcome address by the Chair of the workshop, the resource person requested leaders of all the five groups to present their respective assignments which were given in the first day of the workshop. The group leaders made presentations on their prepared assignments on lesson plan and stakeholders’ analysis respectively. After that, the resource person delivered some guidelines and effective ways to formulate effective vision and mission at program and department level and put emphasis on implementation of outcome based teaching-learning including curriculum development and proper assessment.
Among others, Additional Director, IQAC, DIU; Conveners and members of self assessment committees under IQAC, DIU; Senior Faculty Member, Student Counselor and IQAC officials were present in the workshop. The participants were provided with certificates as recognition of their active participation in the workshop.
