Workshop on AMDISA and IQAC for Quality Enhancement held at Daffodil International University

Institutional Quality Assurance Cell of Daffodil International University organized a Workshop on AMDISA and IQAC for Quality Enhancement on 23 December, 2016 at its own premises.

Prof. Lakshman R Watawala, President, Association of Management Development Institutions in South Asia (AMDISA) graced the workshop as Chief Guest while Mr. Md. Sabur Khan, Chairman, Board of Trustees, Daffodil International University and Mr. C. Ramakrishna, Executive Director, AMDISA were present as Special Guest. Professor Dr. Muhammad Mahboob Ali, Director, Institutional Quality Assurance Cell, DIU chaired the entire program. Mohammed Masum Iqbal, Associate Professor and Head, Department of Business Administration, DIU was also present as Guest of Honor of the workshop.

The agenda of the program were: Publication at AMDISA journal by DIU faculties; availing scholarship opportunity for PhD and Post Doctoral; assist in quality assurance; Complementary copies of their published books for DIU Library etc. Both Daffodil International University and AMDISA shared their interest of mutual cooperation in the field of higher education.

The visiting President and Executive Director of AMDISA praised the development and quality enhancement activities of DIU and ensured their further cooperation in this regard. Chairman of Daffodil International University underscored the need for closer ties between DIU and AMDISA for ensuring quality of higher education in South Asian region.

During the discussion, it was decided that the next summit of DIU will be supported by AMDISA and Sayed Farrukh Ahmed, Assistant Professor, Department of Business Administration, DIU will be the focal point for further communication in this respect. Joint initiatives will be taken by both the parties regarding collaborative research and PhD and Post Doctoral fellowship. Head, Department of Business Administration, DIU will be responsible for taking measures on SQS. Around thirty faculty members of DIU were present at the workshop.
