Professor Dr. Md. Fokhray Hossain, Director, Institutional Quality Assurance Cell of Daffodil International University reviewed the self-assessment and quality related activities of Department of Bengali of Jahangirnagar University as External Quality Expert during the three-day External Peer Review of the Department from 20 September to 22 September, 2017.
During the three-day peer review of the Department of Bengali, the EPR team scrutinized the self-assessment report, prepared by the Department under IQAC; had meeting with five stakeholders: existing students, faculty members, non-academic staff, employers and alumni of the Department on the basis of nine criteria: Governance, Curriculum Content Design & Review, Student Admission-progress & achievement, Physical facilities, Teaching-Learning & Assessment Methods, Students Support Services, Staff & Faculties, Research & Extension, Process Management & Continuous Improvement. They also had meeting with Vice Chancellor, Pro-Vice Chancellor, Dean of the Faculty, Librarian, and Admission office of the University.
The other members of the External Peer Review Team were: Dr. Fazeela Jameel Ahsan, Senior Lecturer, Department of Marketing, Faculty of Management and Finance, University of Colombo, Sri Lanka (foreign quality expert) and Professor Rafique Ullah Khan, PhD, Department of Bengali, University of Dhaka (local subject expert).
