Workshop on “Curriculum Development to Ensure OBTL” held at Pharmacy Department

Department of Pharmacy, Daffodil International University organized a workshop on “Curriculum Development to Ensure OBTL” under Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) on 14th March, Wednesday, 2018, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at Digital Class Room, 2nd Floor, Daffodil Tower. Professor Dr. S. M. Mahbub Ul Haque Majumder, Pro-Vice Chancellor, Daffodil International University was present at the workshop as Chief Guest while Professor Dr. A. K. M. Fazlul Haque, Director, IQAC-DIU and Professor Dr. Mahbub Ahsan Khan, Quality Assurance Specialist, QAU, University Grants Commission of Bangladesh were present as Special Guests respectively. The program was presided over by Md. Mustafezur Rahman, Assistant Professor and Head, Department of Pharmacy, Daffodil International University.

Professor Syeda Tahmina Akhter, Director, Institute of Education and Research (IER), University of Dhaka was the resource person at the workshop. She highlighted the importance of curriculum development and showed the way for curriculum development to ensure outcome based teaching learning (OBTL) with pertinent examples. Dr. Mahbub also opined that curriculum should be developed on the basis of vision, mission and objective of the department. Prof. Dr. Haque, Director, IQAC-DIU clearly mentioned the necessity of developing outcome-based curriculum for ensuring the quality teaching-learning mechanism in the Department.

Among others, Dr. Sk. Abdul Kader Arafin, Additional Director, IQAC-DIU, SA committee members, other faculty members and a few alumni of the Department and IQAC officials were also present in the workshop.
